Great french press but the interior isn't that great.

I made my first cup today and it tasted fantastic. It's easy to use and I had no trouble cleaning it. I would give it 5 stars except that I'm disappointed that for a well built $100+ stainless steel French Press the interior isn't great. You can see and feel the traces of processing (see photo). I have concerns about the long-term effects. While easy to clean it seems like a good spot to fish for flat bottoms but mostly looks bad for the cost. Has anyone else seen this? I'm considering…

Great Insulated French Press

This press is great value for money - large and insulated. It makes great coffee (assuming you like strong coffee, why else would you need a French Press?) and it's easy to clean - in fact I find it easier to clean than a standard Bodum glass press. Please note that this was the reason I wrote this review. (Both are in the instructions, but emphasized.) First, it's important to use a coarse grind (often referred to as a grind in the French Press). If you don't, you'll end up with coffee grounds

The best way to click.

I've only used it twice but I already like it. The decanter is amazing. It's comforting to know I can drop it and the worst that can happen is a dent. I decided to return to the French Press because my BonaVida kept crashing and I don't want to spend $200 on a coffee maker that makes a regular cup of coffee. Unlike a machine, replacing the piston when a part breaks is not too expensive. My aeropress is great but too labor intensive for a work week. The traditional French plunger produces too…

Best Cup No: Coffee, Tea and Espresso

Without a doubt, the best cup of coffee. Hot, with almost no grit, like a drip coffee maker or a Chemex with a reusable strainer, maybe even better. Five stars for that. But after two months of use, two problems emerged. Get 18 ounces first. Version if you only want to prepare one cup. 32 ounces. The version just won't work properly if the groundwater doesn't reach the four-cup (32-ounce) minimum fill line. This thing actually holds five cups. (40 oz) And secondly, and more annoyingly, you'll…

Takes practice but it's worth it

KEEPING WARM At 11 am I've had coffee for four hours and the temperature is *just right*. For an open-top coffee maker, that's excellent COFFEE QUALITY Smooth, clear, full-bodied flavor, no oil damage LOSS I brewed a small cup at first and wondered why I dumped a good half cup of coffee down the sink with the terrain. It turns out that if you brew a full pot, the loss is much less. I currently use 30g of coffee in a full pot and get three cups (I typically use 6g per 100ml for these beans in a…

Great design. Good product.

I'm a real coffee drinker and I roast my own coffee. I have been using the "best" drip machine for several years. French roasting is one of the best ways to make excellent coffee, but standard French presses tend to leave out a little ground coffee in the coffee. This design solves that problem and delivers excellent results. I see no reason to use additional paper filters as I don't get sand in my coffee - the double mesh system works very well. Maybe that will be less with a cheap coffee…

The Best French Press for Your Money!

Among press-style coffee makers, the P7 is an almost perfect combination of form and function. We have been using Bodum French presses for over a decade and I was hesitant to purchase this press only because of the excellent reviews of the units on the Coffee Review website. Boy am I glad I did! The P7 is a brilliantly designed, beautifully designed and well-made product. The double snap-lock filter is very practical and leaves nothing but a trickle of grind in the cup, even with very fine…

Look no further! in kitchen and dining room

I've been saying this since I wrote the first independent official review of the first Espro Press coffee maker: They make such a clean, flavorful cup of coffee that they make the "traditional" pot press obsolete. The filter is so effective that the extraction stops after you press it. With old presses, you don't dare to take the last sip because of the deposits on the bottom of the cup. This dirt adds bitterness to the cup. The Espro press filters so efficiently that almost no sediment gets…
