Review on ESPRO P7 French Press: Double Walled Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee and Tea Maker - Brushed Stainless Steel, 18 Ounce by Angela Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best Cup No: Coffee, Tea and Espresso

Without a doubt, the best cup of coffee. Hot, with almost no grit, like a drip coffee maker or a Chemex with a reusable strainer, maybe even better. Five stars for that. But after two months of use, two problems emerged. Get 18 ounces first. Version if you only want to prepare one cup. 32 ounces. The version just won't work properly if the groundwater doesn't reach the four-cup (32-ounce) minimum fill line. This thing actually holds five cups. (40 oz) And secondly, and more annoyingly, you'll be wasting coffee and money for a cup every time you brew because the plunger doesn't reach to the bottom of the pressure carafe, instead a solid rubber ring attaches to the top edge of the plunger and a plastic die Barrier at the bottom keep the coffee trapped underneath, which explains why the extraction process really ends when the plunger goes down, if only because you never get the taste of a cup stuck at the bottom. Two or even three stars deducted for such an annoying wasteful device, but the coffee is so delicious I can only deduct one.
