My husband put a new windshield on his bike and during a sharp 90 degree turn the glass somehow caught the throttle cable causing the bike to accelerate into the turn immediately. In the end he had to park the bike, but, he says, "my gear saved me". Minimal wear after sliding on pavement for about 30-50 feet. His only combat wound was a raspberry the size of a quarter berry on his right elbow.
