Review on EBC Brakes DP41259R Yellowstuff Street and Track Brake Pad: Ultimate Performance and Versatility by Dallas Grover

Revainrating 2 out of 5

These are brake pad pads

These pads lasted me about a year. Not impressed. The "performance" elements should last longer. Also, the brake dust on these things is CRAZY. The only pads I had worse were the Hawk HPS pads. I figured that using well-known high-performance pads, which tout all manner of better braking, would be useful for stopping a full-sized supercharged truck. nope 1, these pads have actually been MORE machined than equivalent original Brake Best (Oreilly brand) pads and I've noticed absolutely NO difference in stopping power, stopping distance etc - all of which they claim to be great at. Needless to say, this is the first time I've switched to the original pads since owning the truck (I've had various brands of Hawk, Yellowstuff, Greenstuff, Wagner ceramics, and a few other brands on my truck). I can spend $40 at the Oreilly store (or Autozone or some other store) for semi-metal pads like oe which have a lifetime guarantee (wear out, return, get a new one for free) or ceramic pads (same guarantee) . $15 more, for example) and have the same stopping power, less dust, longer life, and more consistent brake pedal feel. Save money, don't buy fancy pads.

Pros
