So I made the purchase and was very impressed and happy with my purchase

I do quite a bit of cloth wrapping for my side business. I used to stretch by hand, but I noticed that the old canvas I had stretched was starting to show creases, so I knew it was time to buy some canvas tongs. The only similarity I consistently encountered was that they broke. Well, since they weren't exactly cheap to begin with, I wasn't keen on buying an instrument that wasn't of the highest quality. Cast iron canvas tongs. When I looked closely at the design, it turned out that very little can break. It takes really, really hard to break cast iron, so no worries. The only moving part is the loop, and it's iron against iron. Concerned about etc. So I made the purchase and was very impressed and happy with my purchase. The pliers work as expected. Of course they are a bit heavy and I'm sure if I had to use them all day my hands would get a bit tired. But if I pack maybe a couple of canvases at a time, that's no problem. I also like the fact that there are prongs on the ends to hold on to the canvas. Yes, you have to be careful how hard you pull so you don't tear the canvas, but I think that applies to most pliers. It leaves tooth marks but as it is on the back of the canvas this is not a problem/issue for my work. I will definitely be buying other Jack Richeson cast iron canvas tongs if I ever need a second pair.
