I have used this product to make hot water for coffee and tea. The heater worked well and got the water up to the supposedly right temperature in a relatively short time, but the keep-warm function was finicky at best. In most cases the keep warm function didn't even activate after heating up (despite the indication that it was activated). When activated, it would sometimes turn itself off after a few moments. In addition, the device had some design flaws. The controls on the handle cannot remember any settings when the pan is lifted off the bottom. So if you take the pot off the base to pour some water, all the settings will be reset and will need to be re-entered.
