I prefer this type of mirror to the more compact mirrors that are available. It gives me a pretty good rear view and allows me to keep an eye on oncoming cars and other traffic. It looks like a motorcycle mirror, but not as good. It makes my bike safer because I'm looking at it a lot more than sticking my head out to look back. It attaches quickly and easily to my bike's handlebars and fits most bikes. It is inexpensive, mostly made of plastic parts, but also inexpensive. It costs more than the extra security.
