The item description said 'Produces a warm glow' but what I saw was mostly bright white light. I plugged this night light into an internal outlet. The bulb sits quite far from the wall, and the bonfire-shaped back cover is wide open, allowing bright white light to bounce off the wall. I see more white light than warm glow. It depends on how much night light you're looking for, but it was too much for me. There is no wattage or brightness marking on the included LED bulb, but the night light accepts up to a 5W LED bulb, which would be optimal. Approximate light output from an incandescent bulb is 25-40 watts depending on which charts you follow.
