I bought one of these Motorcraft branded ignition modules last year (2018) as a backup for an old Pettibone tow plane that was fitted with a Ford I6 300 engine with a Standard Ignition Products module . I've had issues with Standard Products modules that didn't last more than a few years and thought the Motorcraft module was worth trying even though it was about twice the price. I connected and tested it first when I got it and the machine worked straight away, I put it aside for future use. In 2019 the tug died and I replaced it with a Motorcraft spare block. The engine started and ran for about 5 minutes before the replaced module died. In fact, replacing the module took longer than the engine ran afterwards. Tug is currently running an unnamed $17 module. Buyers be careful.
