Review on Bosch FR5KPP332S Double Platinum Longer by John Hickey

Bosch is better: Spark Plugs

I have used ngk spark plugs a few times because they are so called OEM. One set covered 12,000 miles and the other set 3,400 miles. Cheap Japanese spark plugs do not necessarily have to be in a good German VW GTI. After the last set, my check engine light came on and they only had 3,400 miles. So I took them off and replaced them with used 30k mile double platinum Boschs. Not only did it run better, but the check engine light went out. What I'm trying to say is that Bosch plugs with 30,000 miles are better than ngks with 3000 miles. I don't understand why the VW dealer uses ngk. In the 1980s everything on a VW or BMW was Bosch. Bosch is responsible for making these cars great.
