Review on 🕯️ Spooky Glow for Halloween: Set of 3 Flameless Candles - LED Flickering Lights, Smooth Wax, Timer, & Remote Control (Black) by Melissa Mack

These candles aren't bad - and are the best I've found in flameless black - but they're not perfect. First off, black wax has a scent, a nice vanilla scent. If you are truly allergic to fragrances like me, they may not be for you. I've tried several other 'unscented' candles, both 'normal' and 'flameless', and they have an even stronger scent. I've come to the conclusion that anything that turns wax black has an odor, and manufacturers add fragrance to mask the chemical odor (or they make scented candles in the same equipment and the odor is trapped). not as realistic as other flameless candles. It's a solid piece, and the light moves up and down inside it, not on a shimmering plastic thread. It looks fake when the candle is not lit. Third, the color of the flame is not as yellow as other flameless candles. Possibly matches the color of daylight LEDs versus warm white, so again not as realistic. I really wanted black candles for my dinner table and they are ok but not good enough so I won't be using them for my fanciest dinner parties. I'll keep them and look for better ones in the future, maybe for Halloween. They work much better on a mantel or bookshelf if you're more than 18 inches away from them.
