For about five years I had a turntable that cost over $100 more that broke when I moved. I bought this to match the decor in my house (which makes it wonderful). I was concerned about the sound quality, but it's the same as my more expensive one and has additional features that the other didn't have, like built-in speakers and Bluetooth. I only use the built in speakers and am giving away an external one that I needed to connect to my previous player. For the reviewers who say it sounds static/scratchy - I had it at first but then cleaned up my records. The problem is gone. So if you're having this problem, it looks like dust, not the needle itself. Highly recommended.
