Helps keep power cords out of the way when adding ports

I use it for my coffee maker and a separate grinder on one side of the socket while the other side of the socket is still used for the toaster. The rotation keeps the cords against the wall instead of sticking out where they get in the way and take up countertop space. The wall tap is perpendicular to the outlets and its rotation does not change this position. For reasons of space, you can only insert two larger plugs into the wall fitting, even if they are two-pronged; I think three old standard electrical plugs will do.
