It's all about the scales. When well balanced, it works great. Maybe not as good as the famous Steadicam brand but very good and 10 times cheaper! I was able to balance my GoPro, iPhone 6+, Canon GX-1 and Polaroid Cube+. Everyone is different of course. I wrote notes, tagged MOVO, and took photos of everyone on my iPhone so I could switch places later. A small spirit level only indicates that the camera is level. You could do that with your eye anyway. Go to youtube and look at different devices like steadicam merlin 2 and others and understand how to balance the camera. The tripod hole for my Canon Gx-1 is on the side. To compensate for this, I had to rotate the bottom counterweight in the opposite direction, say about 15 degrees. Also, when balancing, you need to extend the lens and remove the lens cap. You'll find out from the video if you get the idea. The only complaint I had with MOVO was that the tripod thread was poorly threaded. It can only be the one I received. I bought a 1/4 x 20 die at an auto parts store for about $4, cleaned the threads and all is good now. It works very well if you balance it properly. Even the fanciest need the same balance, otherwise you won't get good results with them.
