Review on Fractal Design Define 7 Black and White E-ATX Silent Modular Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case, Made of Brushed Aluminum and Steel by Adam Libera ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

The assembly manual is a booklet on N pages, it is immediately clear that you need to use it, otherwise associations about IKEA suggest themselves. The case is significantly larger and better ventilated than the average midi-tower. The kit comes with 3 turntables for 140 and the ability to connect 5 more pieces. But even in normal mode, the temperature of the video card (one fan, 3060) dropped by at least 15 degrees compared to the Silencio S550, in which it simply overheated, reaching up to 90. And the temperature drop when changing the mode is much faster. Unfortunately, as I said, it is larger - as a result, the body did not fit on the shelf allotted for it under the table in depth, it sticks out from under the table. Shumka, however, is rather conditional, compared to the same Silencio, but, in general, it is enough. The front panel has everything you need, even USB-C. A white dim LED, for which a slot is made in the cover, is a strange solution. The assembly took some time, because it is not immediately clear how to rearrange the inner wall under the basket with disks, of which I have 4 pieces. In the manual, this is the only poorly described moment. Laying wires according to the mind, hatches for their output - in abundance. In short, the case is very successful.

Pros
  • Excellent airflow Modularity Ability to install a large number of HDDs (by default - 6 pieces!) Replaceable top wall A voluminous detailed (well, almost) assembly guide Lots of fasteners
Cons
  • The wall for mounting the HDD is rearranged implicitly You have to pay for good airflow
