So good but so lacking.

So I wanted to fall in love with this device. I bought this device to pair with my iPhone XS Max with a car accessory for music and the ability to charge with a cable. Let's start with the positives: a reliable Bluetooth 5 connection with my phone; When playing music or whatever at volume it was clear and sounded almost as good as my aux. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. Cons: When you plug in the Bluetooth and there is no sound, there is a very noticeable hiss in the background, so loud you either have to turn the volume down to avoid hearing the buzz, or play something at a certain volume . When something loud is played, the hissing disappears completely and returns to a clear background silence. Once the volume stops after a few seconds, the Bluetooth appears to lock up and a loud hiss begins. Then there is the terrible microphone. Everyone I'm on the phone with can barely hear me, even though I'm speaking directly into the microphone and the device is nearby. This renders calls (mobile or in-person) and using Siri to send texts or other functions while driving completely useless. I wish there was a way to disable the microphone on this device so that it defaults to the iPhone's microphone, then the problem would be solved. Unfortunately, this unit will probably move to my computer where I'll have to look for other problems, but the search for a solution for the car continues.
