when I connected my 2018 MacBook with this cable and the monitor kept flickering like a flash light. I know the monitor is ok because the DVI port works with other cables, and I know the MacBook is ok because the same USB-C port works with the USB-C>DVI adapter. I have asked for the cable to be replaced and will update my review when I test it. Update: replacement did the same. leave 1 star. I ended up buying a UGreen cable which is 99% better but flickers from time to time.
