I bought an air compressor from California through Lowes. When it arrived I saw that one of the air filters had no threads at all to screw into the block. I was confused until I convinced myself that I shouldn't just "shove it in somehow". After checking the manufacturer's website and Lowes' website, I realized that it would be easier to just buy a new one somewhere. I think the defective filter never went through the "milling machine" that cut it. Then someone, a human, grabbed the device anyway. It was probably an "I'm not getting paid enough to think" situation, or more like a "You don't think enough to get paid" situation.
