The optics are not fantastic but good for astronomy. The 20x magnification cuts through my heavy sky light pollution and allows you to see many times more objects than you can see with the naked eye with very little color distortion. The collimation may need some tweaking, but it's better than many other well-known brands I've used right away. Multi-coated optics do not let reflected light through. A solid buy for budget binoculars and a good start for anyone interested in stereo astronomy.
