I bought this because I have a lot of Dell monitors and wanted to add a second monitor to my office setup and I wanted the second monitor to be very similar to my other. It "looks" similar, but it's not at all in terms of image quality. Yes, all my other monitors are Ultrasharp U-series monitors, but I figured this one would be good as a second monitor. Not nearly. I absolutely don't understand why people think this is a great monitor. I bought a 23 inch Samsung for another location in the office and it has impressive picture quality. costs the same as this one and there is no comparison. Here's what I learned from my Dell rep: Basically there are three categories, starting with U=Ultrasharp at the top, then P=Professional, which is very similar to U but not as good, at the bottom E=Entry Level, that's it. If you have low expectations from a monitor, this one will surely meet your expectations. Otherwise, pick the P series [only about $40 more, less than a decent restaurant meal] and I've got one on the way. If you want a really high quality monitor, choose U.
