I know this mount is on the pricey side, but I would purchase it all over again. Quality is very good and it is made in the US. It uses the spot that holds the drink holder. I am using the magnetic base with my Samsung Note8. I turned the rectangular metal plate on the side and put it all the way to the bottom of the phone ( behind the case ). It holds the phone well and it still will wireless charge on the Samsung charger. I am using the Spigen Thin Fit Case, so it is very thin. With the magnetic mount it keeps the phone out of the way of the e-brake and the shifter. It does fine with the phone clip mount also, but it is a little closer to the e-brake lever. Nice product!
