Review on First Alert ADK 12 Adapter Hardwire by Bobby Diaz

I had to replace 14 Kidde alarms. It took just as long to replace the first 12 (with these adapters) as the last two (with manual rewiring). The time saving of 6:1 fully justifies the price. Plus, when climbing stairs on a two-story balcony, attaching this custom tether with one hand is much easier and less tiring than fumbling with wire nuts with both hands. Another benefit of adapters is that ten years from now, when it's time to replace the alarm again if I want to return to Kidde, I'll just have to remove the adapters and reuse the original wiring. These things turned a whole weekend's task into a few hours of climbing and descending stairs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Cons: I wish they would sell them in something more convenient, like packs of 4 or 6, but the 12-page pack was very close to what I needed. And the adapter can be a bit clumsy to fit in a crowded backbox. But don't let that sway you, these things are great.
