I had a Breville coffee maker for 8 years, I liked the thing, unfortunately it broke and I couldn't afford a new one (they cost around $300) I decided to stop at the teapot. I chose this one because of the thermometer and anti-corrosion properties. In general, I would prefer copper for tea, but it is much more difficult to maintain. I have to say I love this guy! It fits perfectly on my hob and keeps the heat really well, so sometimes when I'm making my Earl Gray in the morning I can use the same kettle for white tea a little later! Of course it's a little more high maintenance than my old fancy automatic kettle, it's literally a tenth the price and I still had my old manual tea maker so I didn't have an extra expense. I'm a bit sad that it doesn't whistle, although my main downside is that it's a little awkward to store since I have a very small kitchen.
