The jug is well made and strong; filtered water tastes much better: no trace of chlorine (do a taste test: the difference is amazing). Unfortunately, the filter change light didn't work right out of the box. Check the underside of the battery cover; no access: sealed with plastic. It is obvious that if this electronic display initially worked, it would not last long (without access to the battery). A small "protrusion" around the indicator light prevents the indicator decals (supplied with filters) from sticking firmly to the cover. If they removed the light (and corresponding "bang") it would be a better product for a few bucks less! A non-working electronic display makes them feel like crappy, like those $3 electronic wrist watches you can't adjust. Sometimes less is more. The company promptly sent me a replacement with working turn signals, so no complaints; the same item without an indicator gets 5 stars.
