The most durable dictation system ever. Developed by Philips (Germany). It appears that the 20 year old cassettes I tested still contain dictation dialogue thanks to the great design of the original cassette format. My DOS computer's old 5.25" floppy disks broke in 5 years! Thank you Philips designers, you are wonderful people. Cassette will always be my dictation format and should still be touted as the best. It's small but comfortable to hold in your hand, as are the small battery-powered recorders it uses. New memory card recorders are too small and too easy to lose or break. .
