Great for camping. Zip Ties and Stakes

We have used these on camping trips and when taking our puppies to relatives who don't have a fenced backyard. Stakes work best in soft ground and are very difficult to set up in dense dirt or grass. Twice we just wrapped the leash around the tree because we couldn't get the post in after the first lap and the dog was able to pull it out. When we managed to screw the stake all the way in, even in the relatively soft mud of the Oregon Coast, the dog had no chance of getting it out, despite a heroic effort. One of the pups is chewing and managed to chew through the plastic wrap but was unable to damage the leash enough to render it ineffective. It's not a "forever" item; They need to be replaced after so many uses. I think ours will probably be good for another 1-2 week trip. For the price I would highly recommend these pegs/weights for the same purpose we had, a week long trip to an area without a fence.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price
