That was the thought that came to mind as I looked at this product versus the unpowered versions of the adapter. As mentioned in the description above, it's a dock version, so you can't use it to charge your iPod. This pack contains 3 items: 1) a square Bluetooth adapter which you've probably seen in other listings, 2) a power adapter that houses the square BT adapter and 3) a neck strap (if you want), which takes the place of the stand adapter for iPod. If you plug your iPod into your stereo without thinking twice, it's probably because there's an adapter for your iPod in there. You may not be able to see it, but if you see a small gap around the dock you'll need to reach in to push out the iPod adapter and pull out the included collar.
