This is a wonderful little device. This is the basic 800 series, which means it has the same motor as the most expensive devices, no frills, but still with everything that is practical and important. She is very accurate and fast. I love the feature where it remembers where I left the car when I take it out of the mount and guides me straight to the car if needed. When I go to a mall or a large complex like a hospital, I can save my exact location and use that instead of the address, which can be vague at times. For example, when I visit a large hospital with multiple entrances, it takes me straight to the parking lot that I have chosen as my favorite. Speech recognition works very well. I never have to touch the device to run any of the many options available to me. For example, while driving, I can voice command him to take me to the nearest Burger King restaurant at the Hampton Inn, either as a detour or as a new destination. I find the volume on the device to be sufficient, but I prefer to hear the directions on my car radio. Since my VHF antenna is on the back of the car, the VHF signal from the GPS doesn't work very well. I bought one of those little cigarette lighter FM transmitters and plugged it into the GPS audio out and it works great. If you have an audio input for your car radio, you don't need an FM transmitter; Just plug your GPS directly above it. Overall I am very happy with this unit and would happily recommend it to anyone interested in installing a GPS system in their car or replacing an old unit like I did.
