First Drive With Car GPS

First, let me clarify that I am not an experienced GPS user. Most others probably know that he gets confused in tight spots or when the mountain road is forcing you back, and some of the local roads he chooses aren't the best. Be careful as speed limits often do not match what the device shows. Voice commands work. I push a button on my reducer and everything works fine from there. I had trouble saying "Find WalMart" clearly enough, but I figured it out after a few tries. I still have a…

Garmin nüvi 850 excellent

I have been using the Garmin marine instrument (GPSmap276c) for many years and after I sold the boat I tried it as a car instrument. Pretty heavy and difficult to assemble. So I started looking for a car model. I spent a few weeks researching and researching Revain. Because of these searches, they informed me about the amazing sale of this device when it happened. It was 76% cheaper than the list price. I think the 850 may be discontinued, last year's model. But it has all the features I need…

Great unit, Garmin PC software leaves something to be desired

There are many reviews on here about the unit and it is very good. Most of my thoughts that I'd like to share with other potential buyers aren't so much related to the device itself as to the included PC software and the map update process. there is still a long way to go to simplify and ease the process of updating maps. First you install the software, then connect the device, then you find that the website you go to requires you to install about 3 other things, then the map loads, then you…

Good GPS - bad battery system

I had an old Garmin GPS before I bought this one and loved it. But it was a bit older and didn't have some of the features available now. The 850 is great, it does everything you want it to, right down to navaid, but it has 2 problems. First (and biggest issue in the butt) you have to completely remove the battery to turn it off completely. So if you don't want to use it for a while, e.g. B. until your next trip, you can't just turn it off with a switch. The power button just puts it in standby

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Almost never

Show me the way! - GPS, finder and accessories

My wife and I were planning a big trip and decided on a Garmin 850 after researching various GPS navigators online. This device belongs to GOD - the best $250 we've ever spent! We loved how he took us to places that we would definitely get lost if we found them. The ability to use Google Maps to "send" the data was amazing, and the voice recognition was amazing (not perfect, but pretty damn close). Despite what I've read in some of the other reviews, the 850 gives you fair warnings about the…

Garmin nüvi 850 fits car gps

This is a wonderful little device. This is the basic 800 series, which means it has the same motor as the most expensive devices, no frills, but still with everything that is practical and important. She is very accurate and fast. I love the feature where it remembers where I left the car when I take it out of the mount and guides me straight to the car if needed. When I go to a mall or a large complex like a hospital, I can save my exact location and use that instead of the address, which can…

Nice Garmin GPS is the best among GPS locators and accessories

For the past few months I have been looking for a good GPS to replace my recently purchased Garmin Nuvi 765. The last GPS I looked at was the TomTom 740 Go Live which was being returned. I use my GPS every day to get from place to place in the country's sixth largest city. The GPS works just like any other GPS I've ever bought. Garmin from Street Pilot 330 to this GPS. Screens and maps are almost the same. Easy to read, not a lot of detail but enough to get our bearings, with simple colors for…
