I have been using the Garmin marine instrument (GPSmap276c) for many years and after I sold the boat I tried it as a car instrument. Pretty heavy and difficult to assemble. So I started looking for a car model. I spent a few weeks researching and researching Revain. Because of these searches, they informed me about the amazing sale of this device when it happened. It was 76% cheaper than the list price. I think the 850 may be discontinued, last year's model. But it has all the features I need. I've made several trips with it. It works very well and finds roads that are often not on printed road maps. I don't think it's worth the price Garmin set for it, around $800 I think. But if you find one in a good sale, jump on it.
