Cannot be done through a window. My sender is less than 4 feet from the receiver. I'm hoping to use this to have a patio TV and not run cables there. It is very difficult for him to connect and when he connects, he loses the signal almost immediately.

Works for still pictures only no video. I use for my Kaoroke system and works fine for this.
