Pigtails on connectors are too short to work with to work, and a wiring harness had to be made inside the truck. The copper in the supplied wires was of really poor quality and did not lend itself to solder, leading to repeated attempts at very high temperatures to avoid cold connections. Plan to only use crimp connectors and to drill holes in the roof large enough for the connectors to fit through. The base of the blocks is flat (not curved) and does not follow the contour of the roof when fastened. This necessitated the addition of a color-matched caulk to keep the roof weatherproof and looking good. I bought 2 of these kits for my 2 trucks and both were missing the gear. They have an on/off switch for direct connection to the + output. If you plan to hook them up to a light switch, go to You Tube and find a video. The installation instructions are useless. Installation on my truck took over 16 hours. I'm very skilled and just can't imagine anyone doing this in 2 hours (as some have suggested)
