Attracted by the low price, I bought these binoculars for a planned trip to the Adirondacks. My two children aged 7 and 10 really enjoyed the binoculars - they are easy to use and certainly helped bring distant objects and landscapes closer. slightly sharper after zooming on objects. That being said, I bought them at a lower price than I expected and was happy with what my kids got from them. If I needed something for more professional (or adult) use I would take more. For me, a compact case that can be thrown in a backpack or canoe was what I wanted.
