So the remote control has fewer color options than a standard led strip controller. This controller is generic so I assumed not all brand specific features would work, but the strip can produce a pretty decent cool white, usually with the stock remote, this remote and the app can't match every color combination properly. The picture shows an attempt at white, and it's an odd mix of random colors in random places. even some solids are not possible and will result in one or two dim leds being different colors. When I set RGB directly from the app, I get all the LEDs the same color, but in some cases they don't all light up and the brightness is still well below 100%, in some cases it's full on. I give it 4 stars for its versatility and Wi-Fi control with an easy connection that compares well to most devices in this price range. It doesn't come with a power adapter, but it doesn't claim to have one. It would be nice if there was a way to make sure the power supply you are using is not messing with the controller in some way or causing the weird behavior I am seeing. The adapter I'm using is a separate brick from the Govee strip, which I replaced because the controller burned out. It outputs 12VDC, but the controller supports 12-24V. The pinout on the strip I'm using matches the pinout on the adapter in order and number, and it's a Monster branded RGB strip.
