Review on Enhance Your Coffee Experience with KitchenAid KCM5912SX ☕️ Cold Brew Coffee Maker: 38 Ounce Brushed Stainless Steel by Jim Agosta

Fridge leaks, too many parts to clean, poor filtration

I have an oxo cold drink and had to purchase a different device for a different location. Revain re-ordered the Oxo so I read the reviews from Kitchen Aide and bought it instead. Two serious and one moderate problem. First, the device is designed so that the glass container with the pouring faucet should stand on the shelf of the refrigerator for pouring and should be positioned so that the faucet is on the edge of the shelf to allow a pouring cup to rest underneath. First, the faucet is leaking, drip-drip-drip. Even a drop of concentrated coffee in the refrigerator is unacceptable due to the unpleasant smell and staining. It's not just a drop. That is much. It is also not very convenient to fill with the refrigerator door open. It's far better to have an airtight glass container of concentrate that you take out of the fridge and pour a measured amount down the sink or counter. Second, so many parts need cleaning and machining. Third, the filtration is more like a French press, with the coffee grounds staying at the bottom. Okso is not perfect. For example, I don't like that the brewing container is made of plastic. But it's easy to use. If the valve is dripping (which it won't if you don't overtighten the o-ring), you can always have a container underneath to catch some during the brewing process. The filtration works much better than a kitchen gadget and storing the concentrate in the fridge is simple and straightforward, either in a glass container or in your own jar. I have returned the kitchen help and am awaiting the availability of the Oxo.
