My 2013 Hyundai Veloster had a tailgate that made a little hiss every time the trunk was lifted. Worst of all, you had to lift a little harder than before to make sure the trunk was fully open, otherwise it could fall back. Made it within minutes of delivery, quick and easy. Pull the trunk all the way up and have something or someone ready to support the trunk. 2. On each of the racks are these rings with a tab for a flat head screwdriver on each end; Pry them over the ball joint as well. Start at the top as it is easier to get to than the bottom.3. When the tab is removed and turned upside down, the post should pop out with a slight jerk.4. Do step 2 for the bottom connection and you're done. Once the old post is removed, simply push the new post in and insert, starting at the top and bottom. Do this for each side, I would recommend doing them individually to make it easier for the person to hold the torso. I did it without help, but I'd rather have someone around if I had to do it again.
