Great as a hearing aid

I did not purchase this product for its intended purpose. I bought it for my 90 year old father who is hard of hearing. The plan is to use him as a hearing aid on vital matters to ensure he understands what is being said to him. We have found that older people are very sensitive to assistive devices. As long as we don't require daily and consistent use, it seems fixable. We placed the funnel in a prominent place next to the phone.
