A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!
Different pros: Bought to connect active speakers to the TV. First, instead of the built-in DAC, into the old TV through a coaxial cable, then into the new one through optics, where there was no built-in jack-out. Does its job perfectly. Has cons: This is not a drawback for me, but it may be important: there is no volume control on it, and when connected to a TV, it is highly likely that you will not be able to control the volume through the remote control.
