Edit: I originally gave this product 2 stars but after thinking about it I have to raise it to 4. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the collar, it just doesn't work for us. Of course, if you have 100 simulation levels, the amount of current between 4 and 5 will be much less than between 3 and 4 on a 16-level collar. Our dog seems to have incredibly sensitive skin and needs a micro fix. The 3-4 transition was too much, but for something with 100 levels, the 3-4 transition is perfect. So I don't want to rate the collar unfairly, because it worked exactly as it should. It just didn't work for us. We have several different PetSafe products and they are fantastic. If you are looking for a collar, try this one. This is a reputable company and they provide good service. If that doesn't work for you, choose something with more control over the settings. Original Review: The issue we had was the sensitivity of the settings. For our 55 lb boxer, 3 was not enough and 4 made him whimper. There just isn't enough sensitivity when there are so few settings. Look for a collar with 100 settings. That helped us a lot.
