The problem with simulated chargers is that they don't stop charging the battery. They end up having a trickle effect on the battery. In some cases this isn't too bad, but in my personal experience it ruins both Dyson and aftermarket batteries. Skeptics will say "But I just bought a third party charger and it works fine maybe even better than the Dyson branded charger" and I will say you are right but after a few months you will find that your charges won't last that long and you might even kill a battery (or two). I buy 3rd party products as often as possible as the cost is usually much better than the OEM but in this case I'm sticking with the OEM Dyson charger. For batteries, buy a third-party OEM.
