My son loved feeling like a big boy when he could turn on the lights all by himself. I started with one set of a 3 pack in case I didn't like them, we didn't think we needed them, etc. I wound up buying a dozen total! I started with his bedroom light switch (not his ceiling fan, though), his bathroom, and his closet. We've since added living areas, a play room, additional bathrooms, and our pantry (BIG mistake, haha!). Keeps the kids from being afraid of the dark. My 3 year old daughter can finally reach them, too. Of course, the only downside (besides my son staring at items in the pantry, like his father), is that I have to check play areas and turn the lights off myself. My kids are pretty good about turning lights off in rooms but, I guess, with a playroom, they take toys out and elsewhere, forgetting that the light is still on. Minor inconvenience, though.
