I was intrigued by this pan when I saw you can cook and drain pasta in it, but turns out it is really not practical. You get too little water for the pasta to cook, and it just does not work. But it works as a regular pan and it works as a teamer, too. There is somewhat less than an inch of space under the steamer, so it wouldn't work for two layer meals, but it is a flat pan, what would you expect.It does work on induction stove. It works better than their deep pot I recently got, probably because it has wider bottom so the steel insert is larger, I guess, and it transfers heat better. The handles stay reasonably cool for quite a while. I like that there is no plastic parts so it can go to oven. The lid is nice. It has a cutout in the handle to fit the knob on the spatula so the spatula would sit on top. THe spatula is made of nylon, not silicone, I do not like that so I discarded it. Nylon will eventually melt right into my food, and I am not a great fan of that addition to my dietOverall, it is nice pan for family meals.
