Review on NUX Mighty-8BT 8W digital combo amplifier with built-in effects by Celina Mlynczyk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is really good, I'm glad I bought it.

In June 2022, for ~10000 rub. (~160$) didn't find anything better. Controlled by phone. It has a guitar, microphone and line input "aux in". A set of good effects on the guitar input. Sending phonograms via bluetooth. There is a simple set of drum rhythms. The phone application pulls up a set of "branded" backing tracks. In terms of sound, size and capabilities, it definitely outperforms the competition. It seems to give out honest 8 watts, and not "Asian" 100500. Speaker for 15 watts and 8 ohms. The sound on the "clean" channel is pleasant guitar. Doesn't "sand". By increasing the gain, this channel can be loaded to crunch. There are also two more channels, conditional "overdrive" and "distortion", also with a fairly dynamic gain control. Connecting a bass guitar is likely to be a bad idea. A 16.5 cm (6.5 inch) speaker cannot physically deliver much bass pressure. Has hooks for a guitar strap. The amp is quite suitable for recording electric guitar with a microphone. Outdoors, at maximum volume, with a clear sound (with an increase in “overdrive”, it will naturally be much louder), the device is quite enough for one guitar and a microphone. It is desirable for the microphone to raise the high frequencies and add a compressor. For example, by connecting it through the processor, to the microphone or line input. When working through the mains adapter, quite loud pickups are possible, and therefore it is advisable to attach the ground wire to the rear metal wall. For example, to one of the rear black screws. It is a pity that a penny "official" grounding mount is not provided. When running on batteries (e. G. outdoors) with normal cords and tools, this is unlikely to be necessary. :)

Pros
  • Value for money.
Cons
  • The microphone input lacks equalization and a compressor. A ground screw would be nice.
