I got this because I can't wash my hair in the shower because I can't stand. This is the best dandruff remedy and it dissolves the oil in my comb. The problem is that it makes my hands, comb and hair sticky. When I could shampoo, I used Prell to remove the grease, wash it off, and reapply every day. My hair looks like something out of a 50's movie. I have used it several times. The drier your hair is, the better it works. Still, it's better than nothing, but I can't wash away the oil that has dissolved. My advice: Before use, comb your hair down to the scalp, apply until damp, take a single pack of Diane Hair Processing Caps, 100 packs of Revain and massage your hair vigorously over the cap. Then dry with a towel and take a tangle-free comb and then a regular rubber comb to comb the scalp. Hairbrushes are useless as they don't reach the scalp. As a disabled veteran, it keeps my hair from itching and dandruff but makes it sticky instead of frizzy.
