It's almost impossible to replace a special lightbulb

Noisy when spinning. It seems too bright for a night light but too dim for any other lamp. In addition, it is almost impossible to replace a special light bulb. There's no intentional access to it, and if you take it apart anyway you'll find a nifty round lightbulb that we thought we'd found online but then couldn't properly install. We ended up having to replace the lamp. HOWEVER my 3 year old had it in his aquarium themed room as a night light for over a year and a half. We tried several times to get him back on normal night light (dimmer) but he never got used to it, got up several times during the night, talked about fears and shadows and even fought about it before bed. A bit of noise doesn't seem to bother him at all and although the brightness is a lot higher than I could afford (I prefer to sleep with blackout curtains!) the 3 year old sleeps peacefully and happily with it. He enjoys watching the fish "swim" while also settling in for a nap. All in all I am satisfied. Sounds like an annoying thing, so bright, loud, and hard to change a lightbulb. BUT it keeps my dark anxious 3 year old pretty happy in his room at night and lasted 20 months of 10-15 hours of work before the lights went out and even when we replaced it was cheap. So overall I'm satisfied. Should we still need a night light in another 20 months, we will buy another without hesitation. ;)
