Great solution for managing your mini splits.

I have 5 mini splits installed in my house and need a temperature control solution and the mini splits don't really have a built in working device. I've tried all the popular ones that range from $60 to $120 and let's just say they weren't "easy" in the long run. I started looking at IR blasters and temperature sensors to accomplish the simple task of turning them on and off when the room reached a certain temperature. But for almost all of the ones I've found, you've had to purchase a paid third-party service like IFTTT and learn how to code it to make it work the way you want it to. that the Smart Life and Tuya apps are pretty reliable when it comes to automation, so I took a chance at $25 a unit. It paid off, these things work great for temperature control. Many people claim that the display is difficult to read and I think that's probably the case, unless you have decent lighting in the room the manufacturer should consider adding a backlight. The only other downside is how it connects, firstly it doesn't have an outlet, it just comes with a mini USB cable and it plugs in so it's facing the back and has a small plastic part. which unfolds like a stand. This means there is absolutely no way to wall mount this. I'd suggest redesigning the stand and connector a bit to allow for wall mounting, maybe so it comes out sideways.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A little wrinkled
