Review on πŸ”’ Stihl ProMark Forestry Helmet System: Ultimate Safety and Protection by Richard Edwar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Slight improvement in function with maximum annoyance

My hoarse helmet receiver broke and I thought I would spit out 2 times more money for a Stihl alternative. This is definitely an upgraded design, protective face mask, adjustable fit, and quality hearing protection. Despite this, it's still a very minimalist design and it's very hard to justify how much more money it's selling than the competition. The feature that really hurts the helmet is the face shield mounts. Almost every time I touch one side or the other of the face shield, it pops. It's very frustrating when you try to focus on work and get distracted. I ended up gluing this thing in place, which is really not the way to do it. You'll also need to wear glasses as there's still a lot of dirt going through the screen. Since I use a helmet so often I decided to do everything and buy a Pfanner Protos. My advice would be if you wear a helmet a lot, ditch those cheaper devices and invest in something more expensive.
