I have a 60 lb Pitbull. We bought a stiffer one that was meant to carry a 125lb dog. The third time we played with her outside (we NEVER let her outside alone) the clasp broke off the base holding her on the leash allowing her to fly free. Luckily she didn't notice and sat waiting for me to toss the ball to her again so she didn't have a chance to run away. But I'd seriously recommend going to your local hardware store and getting some heavy-duty materials unless you have a 20-pound dog that won't press on the item. It cost us a little more, but knowing my dog won't run away is worth it!
