A few years ago I had an operation that left my foot scarred, dry and calloused, mainly because there are a lot of metal plates now , wires and screws that hold the bones together, which in turn causes the skin to feel numb to the touch. I've tried, soaked and filed countless products to at least try to cure some severe dryness that sometimes tears and bleeds to no avail. So recently I was looking for something or an idea to help with this problem when I came across Aquaphor. I thought: oh yes, of course, another oil ointment. I couldn't resist and tasted - I really did - OH WOW! Where has this product been all my life? The very next day I saw a dramatic improvement in skin feel. It's been in use for over a month and it's still working! You know how it usually goes, you try, it works for a week and then it fails, but it's really amazing. I use it in the morning before work and again after my shower, although I skipped the morning application as I was late and it didn't cause any side effects. Yesterday at work I noticed that even the usual dry skin around the nails had healed. My nails also seem to get stronger and smoother just by rubbing Aquaphor into my legs. I've also found that I use it much less often than other so-called intensive care lotions. After a month of use I haven't even used 14 ounce quarters. Jug. Seriously if you have problem areas I recommend this product. I have never been so satisfied! October 11, 2016 I decided to provide an update on my use of this product. It's still worth the five stars, and I'm still using my first 14-ounce can. I may now add that I am recovering from pneumonia and blow my nose frequently, but when the pain came from so much tissue use I decided to try Aquaphor for my poor red nose. Fantastic idea! The pain and redness was gone by the end of the day and I didn't have to reapply every time I used a wipe. I can't understand how well this product works!
