Review on APDTY 857250 Passenger Side F81Z 25218A42 AA 3L3Z25218A42AA by Juan Lockwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great on 2000 F150 4x4

UPDATE September 9, 2021: Driver side failed and will be replaced with the same. Took 6 years and 11 months, about the same as the passenger side. Still count 5 stars. UPDATE February 2021: The passenger side is out of service and needs to be replaced. Served 6 years and 4 months. I bought it with the driver's side version (APDTY 857259) after my key fob/inside knob door locks stopped working. This seems to be a common problem on many models. These replacements went well and appear to be working properly. I'll update if they don't work. Installation was easy after watching a few YouTube videos. The exchange of both sides took about 30 minutes. My suggestions for a 2000 F150 replacement if you're not sure what you're doing beforehand: 1. Watch a YouTube video - there are quite a few. As others have suggested, you don't need to completely remove the window guide rail screw, just loosen it (and don't forget to tighten it)3. The old actuator can be knocked out with a slotted screwdriver. I broke both while taking them off. I'm sure they could be removed more carefully, but I threw them away anyway.4. barely enough space to replace. I don't see how this can be done without moving the window guide at least a little bit (see #2). I've done a number of repairs (ignition coils, alternator, various emission control units, etc.) on my 14 year old truck, all of which was a first for me (I'm not a mechanic). This repair was easy. So if you're relatively accommodating, it's worth saving up for a do-it-yourself repair. - javasnow
